Art
As a kid, I loved to draw and create imaginary scenes and characters on paper. As a teenager, I studied Kimon Nicolades' book, The Natural Way to Draw, and felt myself grow exponentially as an artist under the rigorous curriculum. It was a lot of work, but definitely worth it.
Next were art courses at St. Louis Community College, where I learned the brand new skill of watercolor. Kudos to our teacher for making us do exercises with the paint and brushes until we got them right.
In 2008, I got a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Texas State University San Marcos, where I learned to paint with acrylics. I pumped out quite a few paintings at this time.
My favorite part of making art is getting other peoples’ perceptions on it, because every one views the same piece a bit differently.
